“I can't recommend working with Nina enough! I had 3 sessions with Nina. For context, I am often told I am a strong interviewer and most mock interviews do not give me much actionable feedback beyond "you did a great job, just slow down your speaking pace", so it's not very helpful. This was very different when working with Nina.
The third session was a offer negotiation discussion. Even though my role was part of an entry-level cohort and within a fixed range based on location, and the offer was in line with my expectations, Nina still encouraged me to try some negotiations. She helped me identify reasons for my personal situation to ask for a rate increase to the top of the range. She also helped me draft the communication and request based on the tone I was looking for. The company agreed, and while they did not give me the exact rate I asked for since I was not in the Silicon Valley area, the gave me the top of the range for my area. This was the first time I had every negotiated an offer, and I was shocked at how easy it was to ask for a 10% increase and end up with a 6% increase for a role that I did not expect to be able to negotiate.”
